Judy and I are in the water more days than not, and sometimes several times a day.

As we don't have much natural padding, when the water is cool, we wear a wetsuit. We've been recommending light wetsuits for our readers who snorkel in Hawai'i, as many of them enjoy the snorkeling more when they're not shivering after 15 minutes. Many have commented to us about how much this has meant to them. They can snorkel longer and go further, and not have to worry about getting sunburned.

In the warmer months, 3mm is good, while in the cooler winter months we like 5mm.

For many years, we used Henderson wetsuits. Unfortunately, due to changes at Henderson, we can no longer recommend them. Our wetsuits have been wearing out in a year or so, and we find the current warranty program inadequate. There appears to have been a change in management, and the attitudes at Henderson are not what they were. Henderson no longer meets our needs, and so we are looking elsewhere.

We are in the process of evaluating wetsuits from other sources. If our readers have particular favorites, please let us know. We're interested in comfort, reliability, durability and good service.
