Judy and I are in the water more days than not, and sometimes several times a day. As we don't have much natural padding, when the water is cool, we wear a wetsuit. We've been recommending light wetsuits for our readers who snorkel in Hawai'i, as many of them enjoy the snorkeling more when they're not shivering after 15 minutes. Many have commented to us about how much this has meant to them. They can snorkel longer and go further, and not have to worry about getting sunburned. After trying many brands of wetsuits, we have found that the advanced wetsuit designs done by a New Jersey company, Henderson, work best for us. We recommend them! Henderson makes a wide variety of types of wetsuits, and we go into detail about them in our snorkeling books to help our readers choose. For many folks, the Hyperstretch suit gives the best combination of reasonable warmth, ease of getting the suit on, and fitting many body shapes and sizes. Other types offer particular advantages that are detailed on the Henderson website. For more details, go to hendersonusa.com |
